iPhone 11 Pro Weird Screen size on the new phones?

Hey, I just went to an Apple reseller today (still no apple stores in Ireland 🙄), and they had a line up of the iPhone 11 / 11 Pro / 11 Pro Max - I was playing with them for a while and loved them, I’m on an iPhone 8 right now so seems like a big upgrade to me! The max is just to big, so that’s out. But something hit me just before leaving the store, the screen sizes seem weird, the iPhone 11 screen looks BIGGER than the iPhone 11 Pro? Is that right? That’s seems strange. It says on Apples website the 11 is 6.1 and the Pro is 5.8 - but I did a “rough” measurement with my fingers (diagonally and width) and it seemed like the 11 was almost the same. Is it really that much bigger?
Is it just my eyes and the slightly bigger bezel that makes it look different? It almost looked the same but from a far there was a definite difference. Any experience with this?
I actually loved the screen size of the 11, but I have always wanted a zoom lens ever since they came out I’ve had dozens of times where I thought ‘dam I wish I had that now’, so that’s kinda the deal breaker! But I don’t really want the ‘smaller’ screen of the 11 Pro for more money. This is really annoying, I know, first world problems but just wanted clarification on the screens.

11 is 6.1", 11 Pro is 5.8". That's about all there is to it. The 11 also has thicker bezels, so the screen to body ratio is lower.

Even though the 11 Pro is physically smaller, it has more pixels and runs at a higher PPI.

Personally, I think the 11 is the best size, but prefer the build and screen quality of the Pro. After using a XS Max for a year, it's just a bit too big for me.

The 11's screen is about 5mm wider. It's slightly larger than the X. I think it's the sweet spot in terms of screen size.
