So my computer has been slowing down big time in the past couple of days.... more than likely its because I have been using Dreamweaver and Fireworks at the same time, a lot more than normal.
But then I get this error message when I try to shut off my iBook last night.... (see attachment)
And it wont shut down... I try multiple times, it beachballs for ever, and I finally just hold down the power button.
After I restart it does it again.... 3 more times.

Thanks!

edit: I am not consciously running a program called MirrorAgent... and it doesnt show up when I try to force quit.

How about in Activity Monitor (in Applications>Utilities). Does this MirrorAgent app show up there?

No idea what it is though

Are you authenticating against Active Directory?

Or are you using automated copying to an iDisk?

I do have an iDisk, but nothing copies to it automatically... I sync it all manually.

And I dont know about Active Directory... not sure what that is.

Thanks

Well, the Mirror Agent is from the sync..

So something is broken, try moving the com.apple.MirrorAgent.plist to your Desktop and logout/login and see if it's still hurting you. ALternatively, you can safely just kill the Mirror Agent process and shutdown as normal.

okay that made it shut down much better.....
my start up was pretty good... for a while it only loaded spotlight on the upper right side... my user account, clock, battery, sound AP BT and Sync took forever... but they eventually worked.

So what do I do with the com.apple.MirrorAgent.plist that is sitting on my desktop?

Also, I have been getting a thing in my trash after restarts.... its in a recovered items folder, and it is called "Growl" with numbers after it.

I dont know what that is either.

alright thanks a lot.... everything seems fine.

also I backed up the com.apple.MirrorAgent.plist file on an external HD just incase sometime I need it for something.

thanks again!

You won't need it.. it gets recreated automatically next time the Mirror Agent is used (likely when you sync with your iDisk).
