I ordered an iPhone 13 pro max and FedEx said it was delivered on Oct 10th but couldn’t find it anywhere. So called ATT and reported and they marked it as lost. I ordered a replacement and am using it. To my surprise, it came today with the same tracking number and still says it was delivered on Oct 16th. Could be a neighbor found it in their front porch and left it near my front door? Not sure.

But my question is what should I do with the new phone I have? Any ideas?

Guys- Thanks for your responses. That’s the right thing to do morally and ethically. But at times, the little monster called human greed kicks in.

Thanks for keeping me honest. Called ATT and they will be sending me a return label to ship it back. Luckily I didn’t even open the seal on the box. So hopefully they won’t mark it refurbished.

Thanks again

I love all of the self-righteousness going on here. Come on, people - most of you would keep it and either sell it or give it to a family member.

I know we would all like to think we’d do the right thing and send it back (I like to think I would as well), but until you have that nice, glistening iPhone 13 in your trembling hands, suddenly your morals about ‘doing the right thing‘ begin to erode away. Then you’ll think about it and begin to justify keeping it with reasoning like, “It was FedEx’s mistake anyway, so I deserve to keep it”, and “This ordeal stressed me out so I should keep this as compensation“, and finally, “Apple and FedEx won‘t be hurt by the loss of the phone, so I may as well keep it.” The OP is wrestling with that dilemma right now, or he/she wouldn’t have even posted here about it, in the hopes that the majority gives approval for keeping it.

Come on everyone, you know it’s all true.

Keep. Return. Sell. Give away. Don't matter. That phone is blacklisted or will get blacklisted. Plus is AT&T so it must come with SIM RESTRICTIONS. Your situation isn't weird its actually the norm.

I don’t know about others, but once I got a $2,000 worth of products delivered to my place when I didn’t order it.

I called the business and had them pick up. They didn’t even know why it way delivered to my place.

But I’m hoping there are more honest people than not. Otherwise it’s a sad world we live in.

If it were me I would take it to a AT&T store and give to them. Or call AT&T and tell them you received it and will be returning via FedEx.

It is not unusual for something like what you experienced to happen.

Sell it or keep it that’s the right thing to do .

That's the first thing I thought of. That IMEI will be blacklisted and the phone will be useless.
