A few weeks ago I pressed some button on my keyboard that started a strange "tab behavior".

When I press the tab key, I now tab through every option available in the window.

Example Safari:

Before: Pressing tab would allow me to go from the URL GoTo box to the Search box to the boxes available on the webpage.

Now/After: Pressing tab takes me from the URL GoTo box to the Search box to the each item in the bookmarks menu, then to the boxes available on the webpage.

Example Mail:

Before: Pressing tab would take me through the "To:" field to the "Cc:" field to the "Subject:" field to the body of the message.

Now/After: Pressing tab takes me from the "To:" field to the "Cc:" field to the "Subject:" to the customization option to the "Account:" option to the "Signature:" option and then to the body of the message.

I desperately want to go back to the old behavior! Any suggestions/help?

Cheers!

In the Keyboard & Mouse pane of System Preferences, check that you have full keyboard access only to text boxes and lists and not to all controls. It's in the Keyboard Shortcuts pane. :)
