Weird Text Message iPad / iPhone issue

I was wondering if anyone here can help w/ this issue a coworker is having.
My co-worker texted her husband via vtext.com email....but her daughter gets the text messages too on her iphone. Is there an issue w/ all devices being synced together? The devices in question are an Ipad / and 2 iphones.

I'm kinda lost at what the issue could be.

Do they share a common apple I/d? If so make sure one doesn't have it set up as an email account.

she said they all have a different ID and Different Cloud account.
She thinks all of this started happening when they started using the cloud to sync.
