Not 2 weeks after installing Tiger and having everything working perfectly, things started to go wrong. I am now using 10.4.1. I installed Tiger as a clean install.
Normally I drag my Applications folder to the dock for quick access and just click once on it to open it up. This worked fine in Tiger for 2 weeks but now when I click on the folder ( or any folder I drag to the Dock ) it pops up a dialog that says Archiving "Applications"... and it tries to make an archive file out of my Applications folder. I have no idea why this started happening.
Also around the same time, I became unable to use my CDR drive to burn CDs. I put in a blank CDR and choose to have the disc open in finder, but the disc never appears anywhere on my desktop.
I created a new user account for the hell of it and both of these problems arent happening in the new account so they must be related somehow I just have no idea where the problem is stemming from. Anyone have any clues? Are there some .plist files I could delete? I tried deleting the dock.plist but that didnt help.
