For the last couple of days I have been noticing an issue with transparent backgrounds in things like pull-down menus and stacks. Everything is fine after a restart or log out/log in but starts to be a problem again.
All 4 of these screenshots should have the issue showing as all were taken when it was present. The first two were taken with cmd+shift+4/space while the other two were taken with cmd+shift+4.
Due to that I have to say it is an issue with the transparency in OS X. I am currently running 10.6 as I was having some weird CPU load and temp issues in 10.6.1 over the weekend I couldn't solve.
