I've noticed a weird thing in iOS 16, when selecting a Lock Screen/Home Screen. When I select a photo from my gallery, it works fine...but when I get to configuring the Home Screen I can't find an option to use any of the stock wallpaper options that come with iOS 16. I usually like having a picture of the family on the Lock Screen and one of the default images on the Home Screen. Am I just missing it or is it not there? I got around it by downloading all of the iOS 16 wallpapers and adding them to my photo gallery, but would love the option to just choose default imagery.

It is unfortunately not possible. I have been reporting it since beta 1 with no luck. You can only pick photos from your own photo library. The button to pick from the Apple Gallery simply does not exist
