Weird Webcam problem

I've been using a Creative external webcam for quite a while. I used the macam drivers with no problems at all. After i updated skype to version 5, i decided that i hated it and went back to 2.8. After that, skype no longer recognizes my macam driver and i have tried everything to no avail: Tried all 2.8 versions of skype, uninstalled/re-installed macam, removed every single setting etc of skype and skype itself. Finally, copied skype and all settings files from my backup. Nothing worked, any idea as to what's going on??
