Weirdness with upgrading - not the typical issues i have seen.

I've seen issues where people are not able to get itunes to realize that their phone needs to be upgraded, but thats not my issue.

I got the phone software upgrades, which is AWESOME, but now when i plug it into iTunes, it says i need to upgrade my iTunes, but when i clikc CHECK FOR UPGRADES, no iTunes upgrade is there. I JUST upgraded my iTunes YESTERDAY in hopes of getting the my phone upgraded, but nothing seems changed, and it isnt registering as upgraded..

Has anyone had this issue?? if so, what do i do??

ok, well, i went to itunes.com and upgraded, and had MORE issues. It kept saying upgrade complete, but my iTunes said 7.1 (or whatever it was) Then i found out it made a NEW iTunes application.. so all is running well and everything is syncing now..
