Bummer... got an iPhone 4s, white 16gb via Sprint last week, my first iPhone ever!

Noticed Saturday after playing with it for a couple hours (it got fairly warm) the entire right side of the screen became unresponsive. For instance, the O and the backspace on the keyboard no longer worked.

Everything else worked fine, but the touch screen went bonkers.

So, I performed a full restore, started it back up and it worked fine, I thought no probs.

Was using it again last night, playing a game, got warm again and then the touchscreen went nuts, opening and closing apps, the right side was dead, blah blah.

So I let it sit, when it cooled down, it worked fine again, but as soon as it gets warm the screen goes nuts.

Anyways, I guess I'm screwed since everyone is out of stock.

Love my phone, but dammit Apple, I expected better from your factories. :(

Go to your local Apple Store, they will have stock. If they don't have refurb units then they will give you a brand new out of the box unit. You also can call Apple and ask them to send you the unit, they will mail it and it will ask for your broken phone to send back. It's a neat little process.

Hope that helps,

Thomas

Really? I am consistently shocked that this isn't a bigger problem out of those factories. However, I would have figured that since this is just an iPhone 4 with a few replacement parts, I expected it to go more smoothly than it has. My 4S has a bum camera, as do lots of others.

If you can get it to your local Apple store they always try to keep some new stock in the back for problems just like yours.

First thing you need to do it call them.

I would call them before I complained about it here!:p

Haha, true... not much the forum can do, just venting a bit.

I'll call my nearest Apple store, which isn't all that close really.

I really hope they don't give me a refurb, I mean the phone is only like 4 days old, I think I'd be kind of a dick and demand a new one in replacement. It's not my fault it's broken.

This early on, they probably don't have refurbs, they will be new.

If your replacement does not come in a sealed box don't accept it.
