Well, new iPhone Issues

Got my 6s plus today. Two issues (one semi-related). First, why the heck won't my phone activate? This is the first time that I went to turn on my phone and no dice. I would swap sims but they always say the new sim is better for some reason. (I didn't use another persons upgrade).

Issue two: Why the heck does iTunes pinwheel when I connect my old iPhone 6? It is all up to date but I want to do a backup but it is just unresponsive (computer per my sig).

Might be the Apple servers for activation. They're almost always super slow on launch day.

Been talking to ATT for 45 minutes and counting about being overcharged and the activation. It's been cumulatively 10 hours plus on hold with them since buying my iPhone.
