Take a look at the new features of Lion, Mountain Lion, and Mavericks. A simple Google search should reveal this. Snow Leopard lacked the changes found in these three Operating Systems.

...and what's lost from Snow Leopard...

Rosetta, for running older PPC only apps. Front row (although there is a hack available to get it to run on lion, ML & Mavericks. i'm using front row on mavericks now without any issues.) Expose has been replaced with mission control and is not the same as it was under SL.

That was not a question... It was a sarcasm... :D:D

Any drastic changes? Or is it more just software/internal upgrades?
Many improvements for the better over that period both internally and in terms of functionality. You'll probable get many different answers as to whether the changes are drastic. I'd say not, continual evolution.

Drastic between SL and MV? Yes!

Drastic between each version individually? Not really.

If anything, I'd say the most drastic was SL to Lion when they changed up spaces and whatnot.
