WEP Encryption Help

I have a question from a friend of mine:

I am trying to connect to a linksys router at work with WEP encryption. It has the primary key set to 3. Is there any way to change the airport setting on my laptop (same as mine in my signature, running Tiger) in order to connect to the router, keeping in mind that the workplace will not change the router settings?

Is it possible to connect to routers other than those using WEP encryption, key set to 1?
