I'm not sure if my memory is faulty or what, but I don't remember ads being in Apple apps prior to jailbreaking... for example, I'm seeing a banner ad for 'We Farm' at the bottom of my screen while I'm in the phone's Settings app (screenshot below). I hope this isn't the start of adware for the iphone :)

Well, at least I know not to be mad at Apple. I've installed:

Cydia
SBSettings
Notifier
Activator
CyDelete
Five Icon Dock
iFile
LockInfo (w/ ClockHide)
WeatherIcon
MakeItMine
OpenSSH
SpringFlash
20sec LockScreen

(and no, the ads are not always there)

I'd highly recommend running an Ad-Aware or Spybot scan on your iPhone.

;)

I got that too. I also got some phantom icons on the home screen that were all white. Clicking on them did nothing and when I tried to uninstall them, by holding until they wiggled, nothing happened. No x in the corner of the icons. I uninstalled Winterboard and the icons disappeared. The ad banners also disappeared from the bottom of the iOS screens. I'm not very pleased with jailbreaking at this point. Can somebody tell me what happened?
