I can't get my external HD to mount. It's formatted for mac (not fat32). It will show up in disk utility grayed out, but won't mount. When I try to repair the disk it says that it's okay.

I've tried it with both firewire and USB without any luck. It won't mount on other computers either.

I was having problems with final cut pro while using files stored on it. FCP kept crashing. So, I ejected the drive and hooked it to another mac. It didn't show up, but I was able to mount it through disk utility. The FCP file was still giving me problems, so I closed the program, ejected the drive, and haven't been able to get it to mount since.

Is there anyway to fix this? I have some important files on there that I haven't backed up :/
