Western Digital My Book Studio Edition II not showing up

Hello, I have a Western Digital My Book Studio Edition II external drive but since today it will not longer show up on the desktop finder or in the disk utility. The external hard drive is on (with lights on and making nose)

Is there anyway to fix this issue or is it a problem with the external hard drive ?

Does the issue happen on more then one Mac computer?
