Hey there everyone.
I am thinking of upgrading from my 320 Hitachi HD to a WB Scorpio Blue 1TB.
I have a late 08 unibody 15''MBP and wasn't sure if it would fit. I know its kinda taller and was wondering if someone has tried it on yet.
Apart from that, do i need any other equipment or case to make accommodate the height?

Thanks!

It's 12.5mm so it will fit inside the HDD slot, however it will NOT fit inside the optibay as max height there is 9.5mm

Great! So we solved the height issue. I am just gonna replace the previous one, so no need for the Opti bay slot.....tnx though!

How about the fitting? Does it fit in the "installation" of the previous one or do you need some other "case"?

Also, got any ideas regarding the transferring of the data from the previous to the new one?

No, you don't need any mounting hardware to make it fit, it will just fit.

You can make a time machine backup and restore from that, you can use CCC, or you can just copy over the things you want on top of a fresh OSX install.
