After upgrading to 10.9.1 yesterday, it appears that that displayport to HDMI cable that I was using with my mid-2010 17" MacBook Pro doesn't come up. It flashes a few times, and there is some display info for the monitor, but it doesn't turn on and work like it should.

I have found that the displayport to VGA cable does work at 1920x1080, but I would like to use the HDMI cable to hook up both a 37" and a 47" HDTV in a different room (after I get it to work on one). It worked fine in 10.6.8 and 10.8.1.

When I plug it into my Sceptre HGTV (37") display at work, the MacBook crashes right away.

I thought Mavericks was supposed to work well with multiple displays?

Any thoughts about what to look at or to try so this will work?

Thanks
