Aside from being a bit unruly, there's probably never been a better selection of phones to fit all price points/ desires. I guess this could be a benefit of reaching the stage where chips are 'good enough' to handle iOS releases 3-4 versions on with aplomb,

All still offered from new (6 in some markets only) while the top end has gotten a bit pricy, there is still probably a sweet spot around the 6s/7 depending on what you value out of handling/larger screen/storage capacity/ power/ price. Confusing or no, if you have an idea of what your priorities are you have a better chance of finding something that ticks all your boxes than ever before!

Yeah I'm surprised they're still selling the 6s and 6s plus, in all colors too. More variants than the latest models.
