Wondering this myself. The beta is out there but havent heard anything about it.

So much for a revamped UI with its own apps, by the lack of reporting on the issue I assume it didnt happen.

Haven't iOS updates to Apple TV been on a different release timetable than to iPhone and iPad?

I'm thinking iOS 6 for AppleTV will be previewed in the fall with an SDK.

iOS6 isn't due out until the fall. Typically, its release coincides with the release of the new iPhone. I would expect to hear more about any new features of AppleTV in then. Likely at the next event.
