What about disabling SMS when you install SSD?

I always hear people say that when you install an SSD, you should enable TRIM. But what about the SMS? Should you also disable the sudden movement sensor?

Don't think it will make any difference, worst that I'd expect will happen is that the SMS would trigger, causing the controller to issue a Park Heads command - which the SSD will ignore...

I'd leave it on, just in case you ever install an HDD and were to forget to re-enable it.

Mine is on as I have an HDD in the drive bay anyway, and the SSD in the optical bay.
