Just watched the first part of the keynote video and SJ mentioned the iphone being able to display lyrics in ipod mode if it *supports* it (I assume the song). Does anybody know if the lyrics only work with .aac files or can the phone somehow check an online database for your songs and download lyric information regardless of format. I tried playing some songs on my phone (all mine are MP3 as I don't particularly care for having all my music locked), but didn't see any lyrics. Maybe there's a button to toggle lyrics that I didn't see?

the lyrics need to be added to the file. There are some scripts that do this. In the info screen for each song there is a lyrics tab. You simply need to paste the lyrics there and sync to your iPod/iPhone and you should be good.
