i have a retina macbook pro and honestly i have been looking for accessories for it online (you know good stands, cases, HDD, any software etc) but honestly can't find a website that lists good accessories.
What accessories do you guys have for your retina MacBooks Pro

wow that is a very nice looking sleeve haha. high quality as well. what specs did you get?

I got the 13" 256gb model. Originally I had the 13" Macbook Air upgraded to 8GB of ram, but the screen was annoying me too much.

I thought that the rMBP would be significantly heavier/thicker than the Air, but boy was I surprised. The increased mass on the Pro makes me feel like it's sturdier.

i am totally with you on that one haha. specially with the screen open the pro feels heaps thin. actually wanted to invest in a 11" air for carrying to and fro everyday in uni but might give the pro a try and see how it works out

- Thunderbolt to DVI cable
- WD Essential 1TB backup drive
- Speck SmartShell SATIN MacBook Pro with Retina Display
- Rain Design mStand for MacBook Pro
- Apple Wireless bluetooth keyboard
- Logitech Anywhere MX Mouse
- KB Keyboard Cover frost
- Brenthaven 13" inch sleeve

I have two of them. I use a Kuzy case on one and a Speck on another. I also use a keyboard cover. I only remove the cover when I'm typing fast. Also, the laptop is only open when I'm on travel.

I have the Thunderbolt display and close it, and it turns into a desktop at home. In which I use a regular mouse and keyboard.

Some would say the Macbook Pro doesn't need a case. Yet, the Macbook I had before these two had a dent in the top of it from being in a book bag.

The keyboard covers are more important than the cases IMO. I have spilt coffee right on my keyboard and was able to take the cover off and clean it and it didn't reach the keys, which I was grateful for.

Another good reason to have a keyboard cover, if you record music, edit video, using photoshop, etc. There are keyboard covers fairly cheap, especially on Ebay, in which have all the shortcuts written on them. Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, etc.

Also, my macbook pro has an HDMI cable but it's much easier to just use my iPad via HDMI than the macbook. Unless I was going to use a screen that wasn't the thunderbolt display.

2014 rMacBook Pro 128GB 8GB 13"
Seagate External HD 1T USB 3
Transcend SD Memory Expansion Card 64GB
Kuzy Black Matte Finnish case
'Amazon Basics' Neoprene Zippered Sleeve (GREAT BTW)

For my 2013 rMBP I have the following stuff:
Macbook Outback Solo
Muzetto Waxed Canvas Bag
Large Cargo Bag.

Yes, I really like SFBags.com. Great products and excellent customer service. Most of the time I carry the Outback Solo, and when I need a bit more gear, I carefully fold up the strap, and use the Solo as a sleeve which I slide into the Muzetto. I also have 2 gear bags, and several of the sfbag wallets which I use for various cables, earbuds, an Apple Superdrive, etc, etc.
A quick story about the Cargo, which I use to carry my network equipment. My son spilled chocolate milk on it and it was nasty. I wasn't sure how to clean it. Called SFBags. They said throw it in a big sink and scrub it, but be sure to send before and after pics. They were right on the money, everything came out, leather still looks great.

I have a standard MBP, but oh well.

I have a random brand carrying bag for it.

If you don't have a bag for your computer, I'd get one.

i bought the 15" rMBP a few months ago. Went to the apple store and got this case. Its great and has top notch build quality. Id recommend it. Also has a sleeve for an iPad if you want to bring that along.
