If the Iphone is "unbrickable" does it just fail half way through and reboot to normal?

Why don't you give it a try! Exploits found for older hardware and iOS do not work on iPhone 4S/iOS 5! Think of it as this: let's say a thief had found a window to break into in a house. The house was later upgraded and the window was replaced with a concrete wall. Now, the thief has no way of getting inside the house. He/she must find a new way. If he tries the older method, it simply won't do anything. Make sense?
