I just bought a MacBook 12 inch, 2016 edition on eBay. I want to use it with my 4K TV, which supports HDMI 2.0.

According to Apple's site, the 4K on this model works at 60Hz over HDMI if you're using a compatible adapter. However, their own adapter (the Apple one that provides charging and HDMI) says in its description it only supports 30Hz.

My question is if the description simply hasn't been updated since 2015 when it first hit the market and DOES support 60hz on the 2016 MacBooks or do I need some other adapter?

I saw some USB-C to 60Hz HDMI adapters on Amazon but they lack a charging port. My intent is to use this in clamshell mode when hooked up to the TV so it needs to have a charging port too.
