Hello

I am looking for a second USB C charger for my 2021 13" MacBook Pro. Does anyone have any history with after market chargers?

I would like to have two chargers permanently sited at the two locations where I do all my work, and just transport the Mac as needed, and not have to deal with plugs

Thanks

I use the Anker 60W Powerport 2 USB port charger. By default it will charge my M1 MacBook pro @ 60W or 2 devices at 30W each. Just be aware that as soon as you plug in a 2nd cable available power is divided equally, even if there isn't a 2nd device charging. But most of the time the macbook charges at less than 30 so it's not a big deal for me. It's about the same size as the apple 61W charger.

In my opinion, it is better to stick with Apple chargers. If something goes wrong with your Mac and it turns out to be linked to the third party charger, any repairs won't be covered if Apple determines its own charger was not used.

Even if warranty was not in the equation, why even take the risk? It doesn't make sense to me, that you would spend big bucks on your quality Mac and then want to go cheap on something as critical as a charger.
