What Allows Hackers To Breach the iOS's Security Wall & Jail Break iPhones ?

Hi everyone,

I'm curious if anyone here knows what security hole, or what method do hackers use that allows them to hack the iOS of the iPhone?

Like does anyone know the details that are involved or required to actually breach the iOS security wall in place?

I'm doing a project/speech on OSs and I'd like to be able to shed some light on how hackers are able to bypass Apple's security and allow jailbreaking to be done.
