i am looking into jailbreaking my ipod touch 2G 8GB, and I want to know what I am getting myself into.
I am going to wait for the iphone dev team to relase redsn0w for windows because from what I heard, those are the people you can trust. Is that he righ thing to do?
I want to know if I can look at the Cydia store before I jailbreak, is there a website I can search for apps on?
I have also heard from a couple people that the screen lags a little, is that true, and if so is it really noticeable?
I know there are not many risks for my ipod itself but what can this do to my computer? is there a safe website that i can download from? Or is there an official website? :apple:

What OS are you on currently?

Not sure about looking at the cydia store. But you don't get appstore apps from Cydia. That's what installous is for. Umm...laggy, not sure really. I had a 3rd gen which is faster than a 2g, I never had an issue. I have jailbroken first gens without an issue. I guess it varies though.
