with the Tequila!
I am going to be working on transferring a bunch of home videos to dvd. The camera is a Sony DCR-HC21. It comes with a USB cable and I am finding conflicting information as to whether OS X Tiger will work. Or do I need to go and buy a 6-pin to 4-pin firewire cable to connect to this camera.

Does anyone have this camera and tell me definitively what works? Any other gotchas I should know about?

Thanks in advance for any help.

You will want to use the firewire (iLink) interface. Your camera has this.

Just pickup a cable, plug it into your mac, and suck the footage into iMovie.

Getting a firewire cable is seconded...

Only other thing I can think of, when you're recording, is to set it to 16 bit rather than 12 bit audio - stops you adding sound with the camera's 'edit' facilities but means that the audio is less likely to get out of sync when editing on a computer and burning to DVD
