This year ASUS bowed out of the smartphone race and was added to the list of dead Android brands. In the next few years I wonder if we will still have OnePlus, Nothing, or Motorola. But for right now, what dead brand do you miss the most?

I would say that Blackberry. They made some good keyboard looking phones back then. Now there are a couple of really good options to come, Click Phone and Uni hertz Elite.

Also, I miss those extravagant designs from Sony as the Xperia U and the Sola (always loved the red one).

I like their phones now but they are just to expensive and just don't offer a plus to buy them over a Pixel for example.

Motorola will probably survive. Their niche is budget smartphones and Lenovo purchased IBM's business so they are safe from Trump. OnePlus is 60/40 at this point.

Tough one. LG and HTC put out some great devices. I really miss Nokia but that’s more related to S60 and windows phone devices and the N900 which is one of my favorite all time devices. Beautiful hardware and software. It’s a shame Nokia didn’t put more resources into the development of the Maemo and devices like the N900. I still miss that keyboard.

Agreed. Sony might stop first, seeing as how they just outsourced their TV business to TCL.

None. I had a few Android phones for a while -- a couple Samsungs and another one I forget which brand it was -- but all were cheap phones and generally not great to use. Once I switched to iPhone with the iPhone 7 I haven't gone back.

Nothing is the successor to Essential.

The LG G6 looked like the prototype of Samsung Galaxy S8 which was the beginning of the downfall of LG.
