topic says it all. i want to delete everything from my iphone, but i want to still be able to read them on my computer. i have a pc btw. suggestions?

Mac users can use PhoneView, but PC users have iPhone Explorer, except that requires jailbreaking (PhoneView does not).

tried the app, it pulls everything up in the raw database format. is there anyway to have it display in a nice user-friendly display like the iphone itself?

PhoneView does that, I haven't seen anything on then Windows side sorry.

Just an FYI, and to save you a suspension.... Bumping is against forums rules

Minor Issue Rule 9: Bumps. Posts that bring a thread to the top of the New Posts list but add no content to the thread (bumps) are not permitted. This applies not only to posts that say "bump" but to those with the intent to bump, e.g. posts saying "anyone?" or the equivalent.

tried 2 apps for windows

1. wide angle touchcopy - crashes when it tries to detect my iphone
2. tansee iphone transfer sms - does not detect iphone

ideas?

If you can somehow grab the sms.db file off your phone, just install the SQLite Manager extension for FireFox.

It's not as pretty as the phone view program, but it allows GUI access to the data.
