I was looking from old archive photos of LAN parties and came across this picture. Any idea what model of Apple computer it is and timeframe it’s from? The laptops look like PowerBook G4’s but I could be wrong. Also, Even one better if you can name the game, too. Thanks!

Early 2000's. Love the network hubs perched on the soda cans. Playas will play.

The Mac in the foreground is an iMac G4, maybe known to some users as the desk lamp iMac, because of the swivel mount that was used to attach the LCD panel to the base. Sold between 2002 and 2004, in 15-inch, 17-inch, and 20-inch screen sizes.

Since nobody named it yet, game is Unreal Tournament (AKA UT99).

I slayed at UT99 in sniper tourney mode. I played it online for years and when I started to tire of it, I also started to tire of gaming entirely. Amazingly, people are STILL playing UT99 online. Every once in a while I get an itch to jump back in, but then I recall the last time I did. I wasn't even 30% of the player I once was by then. All I did was respawn for 30 minutes straight and that was enough nostalgia for me.

Wowsers, look at that Viewsonic monitor in the background.. so glad we don’t have to deal with those behemoths anymore.
I had an Ilyama 19" flatscreen, which looked about that size. It weighed a ton. I kept it on a wicker table in one flat I lived in (nowhere else to put it) and was always worried in case I came home to a collapsed mess on the floor.

I remember some old Sony Trinitrons, gawd those were boat-anchors! Damn heavy.

And the worse one was the old Apple 21" CRT - what a gigantic thing, almost 35kg weight.

Behind that ACD is a closed Powerbook. It may be connected to that in clamshell mode. Really hard to tell through that spaghetti cabling.
