Hello, I went to an Apple Store. The Sales told me that I could try the iPhone 6S+ for 2 weeks and if I don't like it, I could return it for a full refund no question asked. At the store, I saw people do it. I can imagine that this is common. What does Apple do with these returned phones? Do they repackage the units and sell them as new?

They almost certainly go back to Apple for refurbishment and then end up in the pool of Applcare replacement phones.
