What Application is this Icon for?

I just noticed this icon in my dock, but I have no idea where it came from. Does anyone know what its from? When I click on it it just keeps saying "Initializing..."

By the way, that's not your Dock. That's your Menu Bar.

You should be able to get rid of it by holding command and dragging it away. If you want to of course.
