...would you use to make OS X look sweet. I see all these July desktops with crazy crazy things. Some have ways to make all the icons black and white. Or the dock in weird places. I also see all kinds of things like the track of the song playing right on the desktop, or the people on buddy list sitting again right on desktop. I know that has something to with widgets, but they one's I've seen look built right in to the desktop or like it is the wallpaper.

You can just drag the dock wherever you want, or go to system preferences-->dock. To get a picture of a song playing, you are probably talking about taking a screenshot (control+command+4) {i think}. You can change the highlight color of your icons by right clicking and choosing a new color.
Hope this helps...

Oh no. I saw a guy with a dock that was in the bottom right corner. Stuff like that. I know you can drag the dock but can you drag it to a corner like that?

iTunes Wise I meant something like. https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/213330/
Its the bottom screenshot that says pump it up. As you see he has things on his dekstop that look built in. On the bottom right corner it says the song is playing currently.

Is there anything like that but that you can just switch your songs right from that looks like it is built right in to the desktop?

Thanks for the color advice.

I like them. But I only use them sparingly.
Some are useful, some are absolute rubbish.
Just got to try them out really, and see which ones suit you.
