..let's say for a

1) Honda Civic
2) Honda Accord
3) Toyota Camry
4) BMW 3 series
5) Mazda 3
6) Lexus
7) Mercedes (about $40K range)

others???

There are too many factors. Interest rates, taxes, down payment, residual value, car model , month of lease, accessories, etc. For example, a Civic lease payment can range anywhere from $200/month to $600/month.

My MINI Copper cost $350 CDN/month to lease for 39 months, 0 down with a 62% residual value. I think the final price was around $27,000.

Why not go to the manufacture's website, build your car and it'll give you a payment calculator.

Look at the Honda deals on the web for leasing.

You can get a 2011 Accord for $199 per month for 36 months with a down payment of $1999 plus taxes and license fees.

That is a very good deal.

Right now in California, for. BMW 328i you can lease a BMW for $429 a month, with 0.9% for well qualified lesses

most of the time the down payment must be somewhere $2000- $3999

Thanks for the info.

I was just inquiring for somebody else. I went online and I got spammed by dealers as soon as I asked. :)

I figure most cars are between $199 and $299 per month but I didn't know if I could trust the commercials. The Honda Accord deal with modest down payment sounds great.

I leased 2 Honda sedans last year. I got the accurate info from the Honda USA website and then called a local Honda dealer to do the paperwork. It was $199 a month. The price has gone up a bit since then.

Indeed. It's now...

...one hundred BILLION dollars!

There is no case for leasing other than it makes it easier to get a new car way before you need it, over and over. Some states charge much higher sales tax for leases vs purchases, to make it even worse.

I can always have a new car, never have to worry about tires or tuneups. I can have a Honda, then a BMW, then a Porsche or whatever I want every two or three years. This is an extravagance I can afford.

You are correct saying that leasing does not make sense for most folks, but I am not "most folks".
