Does anyone know what the horizontal and vertical dimensions of the 12" and 15" screens are? I was curious about how much vertical difference there is.

The 12" model has a 1024x768 display, so a 4:3 ratio of width x height. So using trigonometry it should be a 9.6" x 7.2" display.

The 15" model has a 1280x854 display, making it a 3:2 ratio. So that gives about a 12.6" x 8.4". That gives it about 40% more area than the 12"

The 17" model has a 1440x960 display, same 3:2 ratio. So that gives dimensions of about 14.1" x 9.4". About 75% more area than the 12" and 26% more area than the 15".

The attached image shows the relative sizes, at 50% scaling.

Thanks, I didn't think of that... darn trigonometry! :p
