Using an unmodified 17", CoreDuo, MBPro 2.16GHz, 2 GB 667MHz DDR2 DRAM.

After having to restart my machine, which happens too often:mad: , I find a folder in my trash called "Recovered files" and inside are several files. Here are some of the files names I often find:

smkits [empty folder]
IDB19637.DTF
IDB84274.DTF
IDB50047.DTF
IDB52224.DTF
~notetp2.reg
IDB75786.DTF
~editclp.ncf
QuarkTemp[empty folder]

Can someone explain what's going on here?

One way to avoid this or help to a great extent is to close all open programs before shutting down or restarting. However, these files are only temporary files, and as such, are harmless to delete and are not indicative of any problems.
