What are shortcut keys for Login screen?

I searched and googled for it, I am looking for the shortcut that switches a list of User name to just a text box for the username so I can put something like "root" or ">console" in there. I found Option-Enter and Click a username, does not work.

I know it can be changed in System Pref, but I to know what the shortcut is.
