Does it back up the same information as when when backing up on a computer?

It can back up pretty much everything in your phone. I got my iPhone 5 from the FedEx guy just as I left for work. When I got there, I opened it and activated in the parking lot. In just a few minutes I was up and running with all my contacts, calendar events, notes and reminders already synced to the new phone.

I am guessing everyone buys the extra 10GB of space or more? I have a paltry 9GB used on my phone, leaving 6 available at this time...but I deleted a lot of stuff to get down to that... in lieu of getting the 32GB - which I will be doing in March. I'd like to use iCloud to dump some stuff (photo's?) to free up space on my current iPhone, but it always tells me there isn't enough space and prompts me to buy some more. It's only $20/year for the 10GB iCloud. I'll follow this thread to get user input - practical application from end users and iCloud for Dummies is what I need in addition to Apple tutorials.
