Was looking to see if anyone knows of good reviewers on YouTube that don’t just regurgitate the same boring tired script of repeating the spec sheet and Apples talking points, but that actually give good insights and information not normally covered?

A lot of reviews it feels are just influencers trying to make money via ad revenue but are really just being robots and wasting my time repeating the same stuff that I could simply read on Apples spec page or keynote without giving any new thoughts or information on the 17 series.

Thanks for any help you can give with this 🙂

It's pretty tough to find, as just about all of them are trying to make money out of this, thus saying anything other than Apple talking points risks getting them in trouble.

The best gauge is seeing if any of them actually mention objective drawbacks of given devices. That might at least serve as a guide to show who will actually put forth informed opinions, and facts.

The Mediastorm one for sure. Turn on English subtitles.

Puts the chassis under a microscope to examine it. Explores the Pro video features to regular people. Ends the video like a TV show.

Yeah, unfortunately it seems like Apple exerts control over reviewers by dangling the carrot of early access to stifle criticism of their new products. For the most part it ends up feeling like an echo chamber of regurgitation without much real insights to help decide to purchase 😕

Do you have any reviewers you recommend that don’t just give basic surface level stuff?

That was awesome, thank you JPack 🙏🏻 I hadn’t heard of them before and really liked all the intricacies they went into such as the microscope of the chassis, the thermal camera of how hot various devices got, how the video quality is as good as or better than any other phone out there, etc.

By any chance do you have any other reviewers that you normally watch / recommend? 🙂
