thats the deal breaker...

if the macbook has LED screen i will buy it, if not then...back to windows

Why would and LED make or break the deal? Doesn't ruin the usability of it. Anyway, since the MBA has an LED screen, I'd say its very likely.

Didn't Steve Jobs say that all Mac displays would use LED by the end of 2008? There's no way a brand new MacBook would be released 3 months before this deadline without an LED display. The fact that the MacBook Air has LED is irrelevant.

Apple wanted to go green by the end of this year so I think the chance of all screens going LED on the notebooks is very high!

Same deal breaker for me although I wont ever go back to windows, just my macbook 2.4 until they release led screens in macbooks :)

He probably means he is such a energy concerned person that he would rather use a windows computer than use a mac with an lcd.

LCD is the screen type. (instead of CRT)
Led is the backlighting type. (instead of TFT)

The LED backlit notebooks still have LCD screens.

Much to my surprise, the LED screen on my cheapy Acer Aspire One is significantly better than the screen on my 18 month old MB. Not that there's anything wrong with the screen on my MB, mind.

I'm sure they will have LED-screens. Dell has stated that they want all of their notebooks to feature LED-displays in 2009, so Apple would would be a bit behind on the competition if they didn't. We all know Apple is never been behind.
