What are the chances that the iPad 3 will double the resolution of the iPad 2?

Will Apple do everything in its power to prevent fragmentation a la Android? Will Apple stick with using the same screen resolution for multiple generations until technology catches up and they simply double the current screen resolution? The iPhone 4 seems to have started the trend and there is no reason to believe that the iPad won't follow suit. What thinks the MRumorers?
