I am fully aware of the visual look of iOS 7 but what features does it bring?

Edit: never mind

Control Center, new multitasking view and API's, AirDrop, a "Today" section in notification center (which btw is now available in the lock screen), new photos app with better organization, a new camera app with filters and the ability to swipe between different modes.

Theres a lot more, check out the Apple web page. :)

Better backgrounding, Mail app has smart folders, call blocking, airdrop, unlimited safari tabs, unlimited apps in folders, nested folders (there is a trick to it), better spotlight, better siri, itunes radio, save credit card data, controle center, today view, icloud streaming of music and videos, flikr integration, better autofill, notification syncing, live clock icon (why not weather?)

Things lost - facebook @ twitter compose, unlock sound, shuffle genre, outdated ui :)

The mail app doesn't have smart folders. It only gives us the option of putting any existing folder in the home screen of the mail.app. Nothing else.

Yes it does. It has unread, flagged, vip, cc, and attachments

I think flagged and vip were dynamic before.

Multi-tasking is a big step up.

It's really odd to see the mixed reviews for 7. IOS users have been clamoring for a new OS for years and years. Now that it's here, meh.
