Hey everyone,
Would anyone please be able to tell me what the keys & certificates in the "System" keychain are for? I see my WiFi creds in there as the top entry, but not sure about the rest.
I backed up the system.keychain and rebooted to test - everything seemed to work fine except I had to re-enter my WiFi password. Not sure what the long term implications would be though, as the WiFi creds was the only entry to re-populate.
The reason I ask is that I recently had to reinstall macOS to fix a runaway "trustd" process and I'm curious as to whether I could have deleted the "system.keychain" to fix it. This user on the Apple forums apparently did: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/8070027
Thanks!
