A friend asked me how he could see ringtones online for iPhone and Android phones. I have zero experience with ringtones because I have never changed mine or purchased any. he says a custom app must be built and a user can download the app and then purchase/download/install ringtones from there...? Doesn't sound right, but I have no idea. Any info would be great, Thanks!

There are a few apps that will create ringtones for you. Of course, you can purchase them directly from iTunes. Better still, make them yourself for free. (I think there are a few threads around with directions on doing this several ways.)
