What are the odds that they made the dock cable more durable.

Really? Three??? I'm using my original 1G Touch cable and it's still perfect.

Well I am on my 3rd, it still works but the plastic sheathing has separated from both connectors.

i stole a cable from my dad from his 2g nano, still perfect, goes everywhere. my 3g cable has been in my computer since the day i've had it, its started to fray and brake. poor quality for new cables, making smaller and cheaper materials. i hope they sort it out.

I am on my fourth cable. I do not abuse my equipment at all, it's just a design flaw. Apple will replace frayed cables under warranty, but hopefully they've improved the design.

I've had my cable for 2 years now in a Griffin Aircurve dock and the bottom has been scraping against the table the entire time and it still looks brand new.

The cable is probably the same, i would hope that they would at least make it more durable but that probably didnt happen!
