What are the options for putting in a 2nd HDD?

Are there cheaper solutions yet besides Optibay? $99 is crazy for a simple SATA extension. Surely there must be some cheap chinese things out there by now. Im comfortable with do-it-yourself mods as well.
 
Please use the search, there's many threads discussing Optibay alternatives including data doubler from OWC, and knock off models found on ebay.
