I heard that sometimes Itunes doesn't recognize the Ipod anymore. Is that true?
 
You have to finish the Jailbreaking process, first. If it still doesn't, you try again. It is never permanent, so the answer is no.
 
Alright, well I just did it and everything seems to be working fine. Thanks for the reassurance!:)
